Huanhuan Tian

Huanhuan joined the Chemical Engineering in 2018 and is now pursuing her Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Martin Bazant. She got both bachelor and master degree with honor in 2018 from Department of Engineering Mechanics, Tsinghua University. Huanhuan is concerned about the energy and environmental issues over the world. At Tsinghua, she used tools of thermodynamics and molecular dynamics simulation to study the competitive effects of interfacial interactions on ion-tuned wettability in oil-brine-rock systems, which is important to understand the oil recovery by brine-modified flooding, under the supervision of Prof. Moran Wang. Now she tunes her interests to water treatment technologies. She is now working with Mo on the ion-selective separation by Shock Electrodialysis. She aims to provide insights into a bunch of interesting experimental phenomena in our lab by simulation, and then help optimize our Shock ED device for commercialization.
