Junghyun Yoon joined the Department of Chemical Engineering in 2023 and is pursuing his PhD under Martin Z. Bazant. He is from Seoul, Republic of Korea, and received a BS in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Seoul National University in 2023. During this time, he studied aqueous zinc-ion batteries under Jang Wook Choi. His interest lies in understanding the fundamentals of battery dynamics. Currently, he is studying coupled ion-electron theory and analysis of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy for a battery management system.
He is a Korean Government Scholarship fellow. His hobbies include brewing coffee, swimming, playing badminton, and trying out new food.
