Graduate StudentChangxuan (Atlas) Yang is pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering in the Bazant Group. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2025. His undergraduate research focused on investigating the optical properties of reflectin proteins under electrochemical triggering in Professor Michael Gordon’s laboratory. His current research interests center on electrochemical separations of rare earth elements. He enjoys singing in a choir, exploring new cuisines, and playing board games in his free time.
