Undergraduate StudentMairin O’Shaughnessy is pursuing a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and joined the Bazant Group in 2024. She is interested in learning the material physics of graphite electrodes through image inversion. She aims to develop a machine learning based image pre-processing pipeline to prepare graphite microscopy images for further analysis, removing noise from the data and identifying particles at different reaction stages.
