Undergraduate StudentHala is pursuing a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and joined the Bazant Group in January 2026. Her research focuses on developing operando thermo-acoustic diagnostics for lithium-ion batteries. She is currently working on the calibration and validation of fiber-based thermal and acoustic sensors to support the development of low-cost battery health diagnostics. Hala is broadly interested in electrochemical systems and advanced testing methods for energy storage technologies. In her free time, she enjoys swimming, taking walks, and spending time with family and friends
