Huada joined the Bazant group in September 2021 as a postdoctoral associate. Now, he aims to improve mathematical modeling and simulation of electrochemical systems, specifically multiphase porous electrode theory and reaction kinetics in Li-ion batteries. He received his PhD in the Department of Materials Science at the Stanford University under the supervision of Jian Qin(@ChemE) and Eric Appel(@MatSci). During PhD, his research covered surface charge polarizations in particulate aggregates, electrostatics in dielectrically heterogeneous continuums and thermodynamics of polymer self-assembly. Prior to the graduate school, he received the Bachelor of Engineering at the Tsinghua University.
