Jakub Jambrich is a visiting student who joined the Bazant group in July 2026. He is pursuing his Ph.D. at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ulrike Krewer, where for the past three and a half years he has worked primarily on Nonlinear Frequency Response Analysis (NFRA) data acquisition and battery models. He received his Bachelor of Science in General Physics from Charles University in Prague, and subsequently completed a Master’s in Mathematical and Computational Modelling in Physics at the same institution. Jakub is generally interested in novel battery technologies and advanced mathematical models. During his visit, he is applying NFRA to the study of Coupled Ion-Electron Transfer (CIET) theory. In his free time, Jakub enjoys hiking, traveling, and cooking.
