Mohammad Amin Amooie

Following a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, Amin was awarded a Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2018, and he is currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT-ChemE. As a computational geoscientist by training, his research interfaces the disciplines of  interfacial phenomena,  fluid dynamics, and electrochemical processes in porous media  from pore to reservoir scale. His focus is on developing theory and high-performance numerical models for coupled processes in subsurface media in order to tackle challenging problems at the interface of energy, water, and environment.
