Qiaohao (Harry) Liang is currently a PhD student in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT and joined the Bazant group in September 2021. Having grown up in both Finland and China, he obtained his B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from University of California, where he conducted computational research with Prof. Kristin Persson. Harry also received his M.S. from MIT, where he developed machine learning and data driven research tools to accelerate and optimize energy materials R&D processes with Prof. Tonio Buonassisi and Prof. John Fisher III. Harry’s current research focuses on leveraging physics-based modeling and data-driven tools to accelerate characterization and lifetime prediction of batteries in medical devices.
